The See the Heat Program provides the opportunity to borrow and take home a thermal imaging camera that connects to your smart phone to learn more about the energy efficiency of your home. The thermal imaging camera (FLIR camera) allows you to see how well your house is insulated, how well doors and windows seal, what plug in’s and outlets are particularly leaky, and the effects of leaving chimney flues open when not in use.

Participants will receive an Energy Retrofit Draft-Proofing Kit containing:

  • plastic window insulation
  • electrical switch and outlet insulator
  • door and window weather stripping
